About this website

Stéphane und me in Davos

I am Silvia. I'm 30 years old and I live in Düsseldorf. I work as a web developer in Düsseldorf. Therefore it was not a stretch to think of creating a website about Stéphane. I have been "carrying around" the domain for a while and now I finally want to breathe some life into it.

In February 2006 I was channel surfing when I came across live coverage of the Winter Olympic Games. It happened to be coverage of the figure skating competition, the men's long programme to be specific. I had always been interested in the men's competition, so I kept watching. I was even aware enough to press the record button on my video recorder.

One skater in particular captivated me : a dark-haired, handsome Swiss in a very distinctive costume and with a unique feel for the music. I had actually been looking forward to Plushenko, but his long programme had disappointed me - to technical and tense, no emotion or spark. Stéphane's performance immediatel afterwards was the exact opposite. I was instantly under his spell.

I have been following his career ever since. I collect videos or record them myself if they are shown here, read every article I can find and take pictures myself at galas. At the beginning of this year I finally managed to meet him at a Meet & Greet in Davos.

I also often write about Stéphane in my Livejournal, mainly about my trips to the galas and shows. However many of these posts are "friendsonly", which means you would have to have or create a Livejournal account to be able to read them.
